The first choice for the MOG Spring Event would be May 29 – 31. The next best time would be June 26 – 28. Third choice would be June 19 – 21 but that is Father’s Day weekend.
We do not need a tent since we have a large barn that will act as our Hospitality Center. We have plenty of room for parking and trailer parking. We would provide dinner Friday and Saturday nights and breakfast Saturday (or meet at Bojangles) and Sunday before departure. We could coordinate a road rally on Saturday and a visit to Historic Madison and/or lunch at the English Pub. Saturday afternoon would be free time or site seeing (Athens, Greensboro and Monroe are all within 30 minutes or less). Saturday evening we start with Happy Hour and some fun games followed by a band and dinner. As I mentioned before, we do have some sleeping accommodations.
The last time we did this, many attendees stayed at rental cabins at Hard Labor Creek State Park (relatively inexpensive and one mile from our farm). We could also recommend Hotels/Motels in Madison (10 miles from our farm). .. Turner and I will provide water, snacks and some beverages.
Please confirm if you want to proceed and which dates work the best and how many possible attendees. We will then prepare a detailed itinerary for you to send out to the members.
Thanks and we will wait to hear from you.
Bryan and Johanna Tate
