Feb 22. Rick Frazee at Lake Mirror Classic. Lakeland, FL

Report Of The Event

Lakeland, Florida, at the Experience USA Florida 1000 Miglia, 22 February 2026. GatorMog, the Florida third of MOGSouth was represented with 4 Morgans as part of the Welcoming Committee for the prestigious 1000 Miglia this Sunday. Peter McManemy with his 98 Plus 8, Micheal Palferyman with his 57 Plus 4, 4 seater, Allan & Mary Ann Rae with their 05 Roadster, and my friend Pete Burg and I with my 25 Plus Four carried the Morgan banner for the day. Over 140 prestigious cars (seemed like a third were Ferraris) on the 1000 Milia around Florida were welcomed into the Lake Mirror Circle. We left Orlando this morning with the threat of rain as what will hopefully be the last cold front of the season was pushing its way into the state. Rain held off, just a light sprinkling around lunch time.

As previous participants and volunteers in the Lake Mirror Classic events, you are invited to join us for a fun event this February 22nd around beautiful Lake Mirror in Lakeland.

We are hosting a car show to greet the 1000 Miglia Experience – Florida Rally to Lake Mirror!

We can accommodate a maximum of 100 show vehicles for this event, and the theme is simple…have fun!

Our team of volunteers will greet you starting at 7:30am and we hope to have everyone parked and in position before 9:30am. Your cars will be on the grass around Lake Mirror. We will have a DJ and invite the car community to join in on the fun.

The 1000 Miglia Experience cars are scheduled to arrive around 11am. They will participate in a precision driving timed event in the parking area adjacent to Lake Mirror near the Peggy Brown building just off S. Lake Ave. They will then enter the Lake Mirror Promenade near the Fire Station where they will have a “stamp stop” at the Statue for Volunteerism.” The rally participants will also have a catered lunch in the Magnolia Building. After lunch they head to Sebring.
