80-90s Vintage Plus 8 Fuel Filler Fixes??
Some of the Plus 8s seem to have a fuel filler issue. The nozzle has to be held ‘just right’ to get the fuel to flow properly and not back up and shut down the pump. Anyway know a simple fix???

I noticed that if I open both filler sides when pumping it diminishes the back up. The reason for the back-ups is the the tank has dividers and the connection between chambers are in the bottom. If no air can get out of the other chambers you will have the back up. The reason it does not eliminate it is that the center chamber still holds air on top. It could be resolved by drilling a large hole (1″) on the top of each divider.
